Good morning everybody!  We’re talking about the Bible!  What’s the Bible all about?  Well, let me give you the first thing, the Bible is about God.  That may sound pretty simplistic, but it’s true.  The Bible is all about God.  The beginning of the Bible starts off, God created the heavens and the earth.  The very end of the Bible is all about God bringing justice and making all things new.  From cover to cover, front to back this is God’s story, God’s message.  This is a story about who God is.  The Bible says that God exists, that God created all things, that God is holy and just, and yet God is loving and compassionate.

It also says that God is knowable.  You can know him and have a relationship with him.  You can hear his voice and follow his lead in your life.  That’s what the Bible is about.  In Psalm 86:15 it says, But you O Lord are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.  

The Bible is not just tips on how to have a better life.  The Bible is how to know God in a deep, personal and intimate way.  So I encourage you, read the Bible, but don’t just read it, let the Bible reveal to you who God is.  If you’re like, I don’t really know who God is, then ask God to reveal himself to you through the pages of Scripture.
